Q. Does the Maxi-Filtra really work?
A. Yes, provided that the odours
you are suffering from are eminating from the ventilation pipe the Maxi-Filtra definitely solves the problem. We have now sold many hundreds of Maxi-Filtras and we receive only positive feedback.
Q. What can't the Maxi-Filtra do?
A. The Maxi-Filtra prevents unwanted odours from escaping via the ventilation pipe. It can't do anything about
odours eminating from other parts of the sewage system such as a broken
covers or leaking pipes.
Q. How does the Maxi-Filtra work?
A. The Maxi-Filtra contains
a cartridge of Activated Carbon that prevents the Sulphides, which cause the smell, from reaching the atmosphere. Air can pass through the filter in either direction, allowing the system to "breathe", but the bad smells can't escape. more info
Q. Will the Maxi-Filtra fit my vent pipe?
A. There is only one size of Maxi-Filtra but it can be made to fit any ventilation pipe size (normally 100mm in France) using the appropriate adapters. Click here for more information
Q. How long does the filter remain effective?
A. The STUDOR Maxi-Filtra
should remain effective for up to two years. However, in situations with
a high odour saturation, the carbon filter may need to be replaced more
regularly.
Q. Can I change the filter cartridge easily?
A. Yes, as long as you have access to the
Maxi-Filtra, replacement of the cartridge is very easy. Click

Q. Are the replacement cartridges expensive?

Q. Who are the Humm-Busters?
A. The Humm-Busters are a small band of Super Heroes
dedicated to saving the World from obnoxious odours. We are not fosse-septique experts but, although we are now based in the UK, we previously lived in France where we learned a lot about the joys of owning a fosse-septique.

Q. Will the Maxi-Filtra be affected by the
weather?
A. The STUDOR Maxi-Filtra is constructed
in black ABS plastic and is resistant to adverse weather conditions (-20°C
to +60°C). However, for additional protection we supply an Aluminium cover.
Q. How much is the Postage & Packing?
A. It depends upon what you order, where you live and the shipping method you choose. The actual cost is calculated in the online store once we know what you want and where you want it to be sent. Packages are despatched by Royal Mail First Class Post, Next Day Delivery, Small Packet Airmail or Airsure services.
Q. What payment methods do you accept?
A. We accept credit card payment by Mastercard or Visa and cheque payment in Sterling as long as it is drawn against a UK bank. Payment method is selected as part of the checkout procedure in our online store.
Q. Who or what is WorldPay?
A. WorldPay is a payment gateway that processes credit card payments on behalf on internet merchants such as ourselves. It is a highly secure sytem that is owned and managed by the Royal Bank of scotland. Using WorldPay we do not get to see or copy any of your credit card details.
